Warranty Policy

What warranty you get

New products come with the manufacturer's or authorised distributor's warranty. The warranty period is shown on each product page and on your invoice. Keep your invoice: it is your proof of purchase.

How to make a claim

  1. Contact us at info@bytewell.lk or on WhatsApp 075 225 1516 with your order or invoice number and a description of the problem.
  2. We will check whether it can be fixed remotely, for example with a driver or settings change.
  3. If not, we will arrange for the item to be inspected under warranty and keep you updated until it is repaired or replaced.

Repair or replacement time depends on the manufacturer or distributor and is usually 2–4 weeks.

What warranty does not cover

  • Physical damage, cracks, bent pins, burn marks, liquid or corrosion damage.
  • Damage from power surges, lightning, incorrect installation or use outside the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Items whose warranty stickers or serial numbers have been removed, altered or are unreadable.
  • Repairs or modifications by anyone other than the authorised service centre, and normal wear such as worn keyboard keys or battery capacity loss over time.
  • Software problems, viruses, lost data and consumables such as ink and toner.

Please back up your data before sending a device for repair – we cannot be responsible for data on returned devices.

Used and refurbished items

Used and refurbished items are clearly marked. Their warranty, if any, is shown on the product page and invoice.
